Spiritual warfare

Spiritual warfare

No matter what we are going through, we should remember that God our father is in control. Remember we are not fighting against flesh and blood, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12.  Satan’s goal is to destroy God’s children, thus we are in a spiritual warfare. God has a plan for us, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11. So hold on to Jesus as He is holding on to you and walk with Him… Lord help us to be  “not lagging in diligence,  but to be ”fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;  rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer;  distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.” Dear Lord  please remove self out  the way and fill us with Your Holy Spirit, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Let Your love flows in us and through us and ‘Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.  Amen.  Romans 12;11-13 NKJV Romans 12 entire chapter The fruits of the spirit: Galatians 5:22-23 Philippians 2;5...

From Every Stormy Wind That Blows

1. From every stormy wind that blows, From every swelling tide of woes, There is a calm, a sure retreat: 'Tis found beneath the mercy seat. 2. There is a place where Jesus sheds The oil of gladness on our heads; A place than all besides more sweet; It is the blood bought mercy seat. 3. There is a scene where spirits blend, Where friend holds fellowship with friend; Though sundered far, by faith they meet Around one common mercy seat. 4. There, there, on eagles' wings we soar, And time and sense seem all no more; And heaven comes down, our souls to greet, And glory crowns the mercy seat. 5. Oh, let my hand forget her skill, My tongue be silent, cold, and still, This bounding heart forget to beat, If I forget the mercy seat! 6. Ah! Whither could we flee for aid, When tempted, desolate, dismayed: Or how the hosts of hell defeat, Had suffering saints no mercy seat. 7. Ah! there on eagle wings we soar, And sin and sense molest no more: and heaven comes down our souls to greet, While glory crowns the mercy seat. Lyrics: Hugh Stowell, 1828 Music: Thomas Hastings,...
