The Full Original Copy of the Serenity Prayer by Reinhold Niebuhr (1892-1971) God give us grace to accept with serenity the things that cannot be changed, Courage to change the things which should be changed, and the Wisdom to distinguish the one from the other. Living one day at a time, Enjoying one moment at a time, Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace, Taking, as Jesus did, This sinful world as it is, Not as I would have it, Trusting that You will make all things right, If I surrender to Your will, So that I may be reasonably happy in this life, And supremely happy with You forever in the next. Amen. ...
Living Notes
Today let us lighten up and live. Let us empty our basket of the trash that others put in there. The hurt, pain, the hatred, spirit of anger, bitterness, jealousy, sickness, loss of job and whatever else others under the influence of satan put there. We are now going to fill our baskets with God’s Love and the Spirit of forgiveness and the fruit of the spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) so God can move us up to higher ground, higher heights and much closer to Him. Once we get rid of all the trash we will be wearing the breast-plate of Jesus Christ. And when things around us are chaotic or when all hell break loose, or a simple thing like a cock roach we will be so calm because God has given us a peace that passeth all understanding. We will be wearing the whole armour of God, and when the evil comes, we may be able to stand firm. Our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against the rulers of darkness (satan) against spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places. (Read Ephesians 6: 10-20). With the Armor of God we can stand firm in the battles of life (not even a cockroach will cause me to explode.) So today lets empty our trash baskets and lighten up and live. God’s Perfect Knowledge of Man: Psalm 139 1 “O Lord, You have searched me and known me. 2 You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. 3 You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways. 4 For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether. 5 You have hedged me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is high, I cannot attain it. 7 Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? 8 If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. 9 If I take the wings of the morning, And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, 10 Even there Your hand shall lead me, And Your right hand shall hold me. 11 If I say, “Surely the darkness shall fall on me,” Even the night shall be light about me; 12 Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, But the night shines as the day; The darkness and the light are both alike to You. 13 For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. 14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;“ Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. God is Good? ALL the time! and ALL the time? God is Good. He is so Faithful, you can trust Him, you can rely on Him and depend on Him 100% ALL the time. God is true and will always stick to or adhere to His promises to you. He will not deceive you and not follow through with what He promise. He will do what He says and He never change. ” I the Lord do not change” (Malachi 3:6 NKJV) ”God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed”, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22-23 NKJV) The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9 NKJV) being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. (Philippians 1:6 NKJV)So today, claim your promises from God who is faithful and take back what the devil stole from you. satan is a liar and will be defeated, extinguished and terminated. And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him: 2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying, 3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. 5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. 6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. 7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. 8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. 9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. 10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
