lyrics by Eleanor Farjeon Morning has broken, like the first morning Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird Praise for the singing, praise for the morning Praise for the springing fresh from the word Sweet the rain's new fall, sunlit from heaven Like the first dewfall, on the first grass Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden Sprung in completeness where his feet pass Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning Born of the one light, Eden saw play Praise with elation, praise every morning God's recreation of the new...
Psalm 91 Safety of Abiding in the Presence of God 1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence. 4 He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. 5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, 6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.7 A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. 8 Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked.9 Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, 10 No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; 11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. 12 In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone. 13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. 15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. 16 With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.” Psalm 91 New King James Version...
Sweet Potatoes: Heart healthy food Sweet potatoes are a hearty, healthy substitute for white potatoes for people concerned about diabetes. They are excellent sources of vitamins A and C. This is why one colonial physician called them the “vegetable indispensable.” Tip: Enhance their natural sweetness with cinnamon and lime juice, instead of sugary toppings. More...

Jesus was in Gethsemane where He could be alone in communion with God His heavenly Father. Away from the jostle and press of the crowd. On this night, He brought Peter, James and John with Him. He longed for their companionship and fellowship in prayer at this pivotal moment of earths history. (His Crucifixion) Jesus was only a short distance from them when He fell on His face and cried out, ” O My Father, If it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will” (Matthew 26:39). Recognizing the horrors that was was before Him, Jesus pleaded with the Father to remove the cup of sorrows He was about to drink. Jesus always do the will of His father. His entire life gave glory to God. Jesus’ obedient surrender to the Father was the channel through which heavenly blessings flowed earthward. Same today as well , the Holy Spirit is poured out through surrendered hearts. ‘Faith that leads to submission to Christ’s will is the most important thing in the life of each christian’ The disciples were passionate about doing Jesus’ will so we too should do the will of God. ” We ought to obey God rather than men” ( Acts 5:29) The disciples willingly face persecution, imprisonment, and even death for Christ’s sake. They opened their hearts to the fullness of the Holy Spirit’s working and totally committed their lives to doing Gods will. Read Psalm 51 and meditate on the following verses ”Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit. Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, And sinners shall be converted to You.” (Psalm 51:10-13) Excerpt from 10 Days in the Upper Room by Mark A. ‘The Lost Pages’ by Philip Shaw In our life we write in books, the book of life, and one day soon we hope to read it. In times of Joy, Peace and Celebration we would like to make these pages in Bold print, Book marks, and Many stars. During trials, tribulations and turmoil to which have been called the ”lost pages.” These are the ones we would love to forget. At first glance the lost “graven” pages engraved with deep wounds cuts and scars.. seem like the best pages to be lost. But oh, how much sweeter the good pages would be, if not prefixed with the “lost pages.” The lost pages can be seen as chapter separators. They add a feature to the book that only they, the ”lost pages” can fulfill. Then there is the phenomena of “real” lost pages. These are times known or unknown to us some how forgotten. Whether its due to trauma, grief or other outside or internal force which moves these pages around. “Lost but never forgotten.” ~~~Philip...
