Lord, we thank You for you safely brought us to the end of another day. As darkness approaches, help us to let the day go, with its failures and successes. If we have regrets, let us not dwell on them, but accept Your forgiveness and by the power of the Holy Spirit change our sinful lives. Wash us with your precious blood that You shed on Calvary. Fill this night with Your presence and the  peace it brings. Protect us from danger seen and unseen and prepare our hearts as we rest in You who neither slumber or sleep in Jesus’ name. Amen....

“This is the day that the LORD has made” (Psalms 118:24). Lord we thank You for giving us this day. We bring You our praise for giving us life and waking us this morning. Some of us might not be cheerful this morning but You tell us, ”These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. ” (John 16:33) Lord help us to be cheerful, as we face the day in a world that is sometimes  so gloomy. Let us be a blessing to others and let Your love flows in us and through us.Enable us to accomplish the tasks you set before us today, at work , home or school. Guide our footsteps and the words we say, Cleanse us and forgive our sins. May this day be only about You; dedicated to Your honor and glory. Thank You Lord for Your blessings and for loving us. Lord help me to be  ”not lagging in diligence,  but to be ”fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;  rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer;  distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.” Dear Lord  please remove self out  the way and fill me with Your Holy Spirit, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Let Your love flow in me and through me and ‘Let this mind be in me, which was also in Christ Jesus....

Almighty God and Father, in the beginning on the sixth day You created man in Your image, after You had created a beautiful and perfect world. As I awake this morning and start a new day, I thank You for creating me and giving me life in this world. I know that I do not always use my life in ways that are pleasing to You. Sin destroyed the perfect world You created, and so I thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, Who on the seventh day finished His work and rested that day. You provided for my forgiveness and re-creation. Thank You for salvation. Help me to honor You in all that I say and do, that others may see in me the goodness of Your creating love. O Father, Son and Holy Spirit, hear my prayer....
