”The very fact that Christ bore the penalty for man’s transgression is a mighty argument to all created intelligences that the law is changeless; that God is righteous, merciful, and self denying; and that infinite justice and mercy unite in the administration of His government” ~ PP p.70 EGWhite.
The Lord Our Refuge. We cannot save ourselves from the tempter’s power; he has conquered humanity, and when we try to stand in our own strength, we shall become a prey to his devices but ”the name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth in to it, and is safe” (Proverbs 18:10), Satan trembles and flees before the weakest soul who finds refuge in that mighty name. ”The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.” Proverbs 18:10 (NKJV) Remnant Study Bible DA Desire of Ages 131 by EG White...

”Unto You I lift up my eyes. O You who dwell in the heavens. Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters. As the eyes of the maid to the hand of her mistress, So our eyes look to the LORD our God, Until He has mercy on us. Have mercy on us, Oh Lord, have mercy on us! For we are exceedingly filled with contempt. Our soul is exceedingly filled With the scorn of those who are at ease, With the contempt of the proud”. Psalm...
Praise the LORD! I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, In the assembly of the upright and in the congregation. The works of the LORD are great, Studied by all who have pleasure in them. His work is honorable and glorious, And His righteousness endures forever. He has made His wonderful works to be remembered; The LORD is gracious and full of compassion. He has given food to those who fear Him; He will ever be mindful of His covenant. He has declared to His people the power of His works, In giving them the heritage of the nations. The works of His hands are verity and justice; All His precepts are sure. They stand fast forever and ever, And are done in truth and uprightness. He has sent redemption to His people; He has commanded His covenant forever: Holy and awesome is His name. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever.
