NUTRITION

The human body is created by God. It is wonderfully and marvelously made by Him. He has provided bountifully from sources of nature for our care. We should use these blessings to keep ourselves in good health. And God said, ”Behold, I have given you every herb yielding seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for food.” (Genesis 1:29). We can live as Daniel did, and follow his diet. Daniel’s diet consist of water, fruits, grains, nuts, and vegetables. Our physical health is maintained by what we eat. The food you put in your body affects all of your tissues and organs.  Food should be nourishing to the body, so the body can make good blood. We should eat the right food at regular hours and eat the right amount of food and be temperate in eating. Eat simple and healthy food and eat  colorful foods.  Red Foods: Trees:  cherries, apples, cranberries, papaya, pomegranate Plants:  tomatoes, strawberries, watermelon, raspberries Herbs:  beets, rhubarb, radishes   Nutrient: Lycopene Orange Foods: Trees: oranges, grapefruit,  peaches Plants:  pumpkin,  squash Herbs:  carrots,  sweet potatoes,  yams Nutrient: beta-carotene   Yellow Foods: Trees:  lemons, pears, apricots, grapefruit Plants:  corn, Squash, wheat, cantaloupe Herbs:  rutabagas   Nutrient: vitamin C Green Foods: Trees:  avocados, olives, pears, lime Plants:  cucumbers, peas, green beans, zucchini Herbs:   broccoli, asparagus, greens, spinach, brussels sprouts, kale, celery,  green onions, mustard greens, chicory   Nutrient: lutein Blue Foods: Plants:       blueberries, blackberries, mulberries   Nutrient: Anthoocyanins   White Foods: Trees:  coconut, dates, pears,  nuts Plants:  white beans, oats Herbs:  onions, cauliflower, garlic, horseradish, potatoes, turnips,  mushrooms, parsnips, shallots, ginger   Nutrient: Allicin Purple Foods: Trees:  plums, prunes, figs Plants: grapes, blackberries, elderberries Herbs: beets, eggplants, cabbage   The  health plan in the Bible indicates that fruits, vegetables, nuts, whole grains and legumes are the  foundation of a healthy diet. It has been suggested by various sources not to eat fruits and vegetables at the  same time/ meal. Fruits and vegetables picked fresh from the garden offer more solid  nourishment and are the best. Breakfast is most important meal of the day. Watch out for foods heavy with refined sugars, like pastries and sugary cereals.  These foods offer calories without many essential nutrients. High sugar foods and drinks may also cause your energy to soar briefly before it falls to lower levels. You may feel more drained and hungry, even if you ate breakfast. Sugar cause fermentation in the stomach. Milk and sugar combined is one of the worst combination. Use little sugar, milk or honey in moderation. God wants us to be healthy so let us stick to the diet He...

Psalm 37:5-8

”Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday. Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret—it only causes harm.”   Holy Bible NKJV    Have wonderful and Blessed Day ...

Cloudy days

Cloudy days

It’s a cloudy day outside, and sometimes I go through cloudy days in my life. Once I was going to do a procedure and that was a cloudy day in my life. On the radio station I was listening  (91.1 WKES)  Isaiah 40:29 was the scripture  for the day, so I took my bible and read 29-31. These verses really comforted me and lifted  the clouds of doubt from my mind. Thank God for His words, Life and His love towards us. Behind every dark clouds in life there is a silver lining, and this is so very true, because on that day there was one for me. ”He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:29-31 NKJV Have Blessed and wonderful day and let the sun shine in Today. 🙂   ...
