Garlic. Herbs For Flavor Also Protect Us

GARLIC: Benefits “Garlic is an herb. It is best known as a flavoring for food. But over the years, garlic has been used as a medicine to prevent or treat a wide range of diseases and conditions. The fresh clove or supplements made from the clove are used for medicine. Garlic is used for many conditions related to the heart and blood system. These conditions include high blood pressure, high cholesterol, coronary heart disease, heart attack, and “hardening of the arteries” (atherosclerosis). Some of these uses are supported by science. Father, Lead Me Day by Day

Father, Lead Me Day by Day

Father, Lead Me Day by Day Father, lead me day by day,  Ever in Thine own sweet way; Teach me to be pure and true; Show me what I ought to do.  When in danger, make me brave; Make me know that Thou canst save; Keep me safe by Thy dear side; Let me in Thy love abide  When tempted to do wrong, Make me steadfast, wise, and strong; And when all alone I stand, Shield me with Thy mighty hand.  May I do the good I know, Be Thy loving child below, Then at last go home to Thee, Evermore Thy child to be. SDA Hymnal # 482 ” Lead me, O Lord, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.” [Psalm 5:8...

Verse of the Day

Verse of the Day

He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: He is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints. Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path. (Proverbs 2:7-9 KJV)

Food For Thought

How to Travel the Smooth Road On the road of life there are spiritual signs along the way. In order to stay under God’s protection, you must obey these signs that tell you to trust Him and not worry. Don’t be afraid; have courage. If you’ll pay attention to these signs, you’ll find it’s easy to stay on course. You’ll experience the protection, peace and joy that only God can provide. However, if you fail to heed the signs, you may notice that the road seems a little bumpier than usual, and you aren’t as confident in your ability as you once were. You may become anxious about the unknown things waiting around the corner, and even veer off the road. You and I don’t need to be anxious because God wants to guard our paths and preserve our way. Why waste time ignoring His signs and becoming anxious when it isn’t going to solve anything? Have an attitude of obedience, and when you see His signs, follow them. When you follow His instructions, you’ll always arrive safely at your destination. Prayer Starter: Holy Spirit, help me to see the spiritual signs that You’ve placed for me on the road of life. When I see them, I will obey them and follow You safely through life. [Promises For Your Everyday Life by Joyce Meyer.] “He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: He is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of His saints. Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.” (Proverbs 2:7-9...

“I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.”  (KJV) ( Isaiah 43:25 ) Contrary to popular belief, we can never be good enough to rescue ourselves from sin. Only God can wipe away our sins because of His love for us. In addition, the ability to forgive and forget is a power that comes from God alone. The source of this power is rooted in love. Without love, we are truly unable to forgive and forget...

Verse of the Day

Verse of the Day

“O LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:” (KJV) ( Psalm 7:1 ) Do you feel distressed or worried about today because you may encounter badgering or harassment? No person deserves this treatment, no matter what caused the situation. It’s not an enjoyable experience, by any means, but in all situations God can rescue you. Not only is He capable, but He wants to be the one you turn to for protection. Memorize this verse and speak it out loud when you need protection....

Thought for Today

Thought for Today

Choose the Way of Truth ” I have chosen the way of truth; thy judgments have I laid before me. I have stuck unto thy testimonies: O Lord, put me not to shame.”  Psalm. 119:30, 31 There are two great principles, one of loyalty, the other of disloyalty. We all need greater Christian courage, that we may uplift the standard on which is inscribed the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. . . . The line of demarcation between the obedient and the disobedient must be plain and distinct. We must have a firm determination to do the Lord’s will at all times and in all places. . . . Christian strength is obtained by serving the Lord faithfully. Young men and young women should realize that to be one with Christ is the highest honor to which they can attain. By the strictest fidelity they should strive for moral independence, and this independence they should maintain against every influence that may try to turn them from righteous principles. Stronger minds may, yes, they will, make assertions that have no foundation in truth. Let the heavenly eyesalve be applied to the eyes of your understanding, that you may distinguish between truth and error. Search the Word; and when you find a “Thus saith the Lord,” take your stand. . . . In Pilgrim’s Progress there is a character called Pliable. Youth, shun this character. Those represented by it are very accommodating, but they are as a reed shaken by the wind. They possess no will power. Every youth needs to cultivate decision. A divided state of the will is a snare, and will be the ruin of many youth. Be firm, else you will be left with your house, or character, built upon a sandy foundation. The Lord’s philosophy is the rule of the Christian’s life. The entire being should be imbued with the life-giving principles of heaven. The busy nothings which consume the time of so many shrink into their proper position before a healthy, sanctifying Bible piety. From My Life Today – Page 78 by Ellen G....
