Light Bearers ”Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and disputings”. (Philippians 2:12-14 KJV) Happy Sabbath 🙂 ...
I think Friends are like angels sent down to earth to make good days for us, and help us find our way especially when we are going the wrong way and is lost. I have a F.R.I.E.N.D. in Jesus. He is my Best Friend and He is everything to me. He laid down His life for me. A friend is someone who accepts you just the way you are, one who believes in you. A friend encourages you and is Someone who is trustworthy, who never forsakes you, who forgives your mistakes, who enjoys being with you, and who makes you laugh. A friend loves you unconditionally. Jesus is more than a friend to me.”Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you” (John 15:15 KJV) F- is for FORGIVENESS: He forgives me from all my sins when I ask Him and cleanse me from all unrighteousness .(1 John 1:9) R- is for the REWARD He will bestow upon me when He returns to earth. (Revelation 22:12) I- is for the INTEREST He has shown in me even when I do not deserve it. (Matthew 18:12) E- is for the EVERLASTING gospel we must tell everyone on earth before He returns. (Revelation 14:6) N-is for the NICE things He does for me even when I do not deserve it. (John 3:16) D-is for DYING on the cross for me because He loves me. (Luke 23:33) Thank you Jesus for been my friend help me to speak to you. ”And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend”.(Exodus 33:11 KJV) Don’t forget to talk to Jesus today and make Him your Best friend. Jesus cares about you, and most of all He loves you.. Jesus is Trustworthy. Jesus is more than enough. Jesus Accepts you just the way you are. He will never leave you or forsake you. Most of all you can call upon Him anytime 24/7 , 365 days , He is never too tired and He will hear and answer you. He said ”And call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver thee, and thou shall glorify Me.” (Psalm 50:15 KJV) also “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”(Jeremiah 33:3 KJV) Beverley Shaw 🙂...
There is power in prayer, when the prayers go up the blessings come down. That is so true because I have experience that so many, many times in my life. But we must wait on the Lord. However sometimes when I pray to Jesus my Father I take back my crucibles from the Master and then try to fix them on my own and I always make such a mess. But what I discover is that when I take back my crucibles with me and tried to fix them myself my father do not have them to work on. Therefore there is no answer coming from God and now I have a bigger mess for God to fix. But nothing is too big for my God. This shows I dont have no patience, can’t wait, forgetting that Patience is virtue. My grandmother use to say ‘patient man ride donkey’ which I have proven to be so true. Now as I continue through life’s journey with the help of the Holy Spirit I am learning to be patient and wait on God who is Faithful and His words are true. I am holding on to His promises and ”Rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; (Romans 12: 12 NKJV) Prayer can move mountains .’Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive”(Matthew21:21-22) NKJV. Every prayer that is sent up to God is heard and answered. Sometimes it’s not the answer we want and sometimes it’s not answered right away. ”Call upon me in the day of trouble I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me”.(Psalm 50:15 NKJV) We just have to offer our sincere heartfelt prayer to Him. Put our trust in God and have faith in God. Pray, believing, trusting, hoping, and holding on to the hand of God’s Mighty Power and we will be more than conquerors. There is power in prayer because God is an AWESOME God. He said we are to ‘ask and it shall be given to us’Read Matt 7:7-11 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=matthew%207:7-11&version=KJV. Whenever we pray we are to believe that God will answer, He said ”Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them”, (Mark 11:24 ) KJV……….. Sunlight-Importance of sunlight “Then God said ‘Let there be light;’ and there was light’, And God saw the light, that it was good”…… (Genesis 1 : 3 ,4 KJV) The sun is a hot cosmic radiation powerhouse where we get sunlight that provides healing to our bodies. Our bodies need sunlight to make Vitamin D. Studies show early morning or late-afternoon sun exposure is the safest. Light is very important to all life, so important that God provided the sun as a constant source to supply energy. Energy is necessary to sustain all life on earth. The energy used by, growing plants , and solar power are supplied by sunlight. Even though God said that light was good, many people are afraid of sun exposure. Plants need sunlight to grow and human beings also need sunlight for optimal health. (The darker your skin colour, the more sunshine you need to make Vitamin D. People with dark skin pigmentation may need 20-30 times as much exposure to sunlight as fair-skinned people to generate the same amount of vitamin D. Because of this, many black persons are vitamin D deficient. Research shows that more than 90 per cent of African-Americans are vitamin D deficient. Many Jamaicans also have this deficiency. Also, the farther you live from the equator, the more sunshine you need in order to generate vitamin D.) http://jamaica-gleaner.com/gleaner/20110208/news/news4.html Studies show more than 90% of Americans are vitamin D deficient. The N.I.H.- National Institutes of Health reported that 10-15 mins of sunlight allow adequate time for vitamin D synthesis to occur. Sunlight is good. Exposure to sunlight is the only reliable way to generate vitamin D in your own body. Studies show that a person would have to drink 10 large glasses of vitamin D-fortified milk each day just to get minimum levels of vitamin D into their diet. Vitamin D is produced by our skin in response to exposure to ultraviolet radiation (UVB) from the natural sunlight, this converts cholesterol in the skin into vitamin D. It is nearly impossible to get enough vitamin D from our diet. Although sunlight is good we have to use it in moderation, Recommended 5-30 mins. a day , 3 times a week direct sunlight adequate exposure. However its best to check with your Dr. especially people on medication. To be on the safe side it is recommended to use suns screen, wide-brimmed hat,and clothes that will protect from sunburn. research proves the connection between sunlight exposure, health and longevity..,Vitamin D from sunshine help protect us against diseases such as osteoporosis, heart disease, cancers of the prostate, breast, and colon., improve sleep, boost energy, ease tension, increase immune system, it’s also proven to help certain skin conditions...
When we pray we shouldn’t be boastful and showing off in public to be seen by others as if we are more holy and righteous than they are. Jesus called those people hypocrites. Jesus left instructions as to how we ought to pray. Pray to your Father in private who is in the secret place. Your Father who sees you in secret will reward you openly so others can see your blessings from God. We should not use vain repetitions like the heathen do. They think that they will be heard for their many eloquent words . Therefore we should not be like them. God knows what we are in need of before we even ask Him. Jesus left instructions as to how we ought to pray. (Read Matthew 6: 5-8) KJV Holy Bible ”After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father, which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy Kingdom come Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, The power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.” Matthew 6: 9-13 ...
The light of the world is Jesus, and the darkness in this world is satan. Satan’s goal is to destroy God’s children (everyone) and also to keep us in darkness. Satan is trying to kill us every day. If it was not for God’s Grace and Mercy he would succeed. If we could but get a glimpse, of the warfare going on around us between satan and God’s angels for our lives. He is the author of lies and deceitfulness. ”For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places”.] Ephesians 6:12 When we are in the light we can see clearly, but in darkness we cannot see anything. In darkness we do not know where we are going because the darkness blinded our eyes. So in order to see clearly we must walk in the light. Jesus He is our guide and He will lead us. All we have to do is follow Him and do not take our eyes off of Him. ”God is Light and in Him there is no darkness at all”. (1 John 2:6 .) May God’s Holy Spirit help us today to walk in the Light and abide in the Light. We cannot do anything by ourselves, but I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13) When we walk in the light there is absolutely no need for stumbling. But when, or if we should stumble we have a Saviour who is full of Grace and Mercy. Because, ”If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”. (1 John 1:9) Not some but ALL unrighteousness. So today let us shine for Jesus by walking in His light and the reflection of the Light/ Jesus will illuminate others. The light of the world is Jesus. Shine Jesus Shine through us and let others see you living in us. Beverley E Shaw 🙂...
I had a liver transplant on 12/13/2001 at Jackson Memorial Hospital. I receive my liver from my daughter which is such a blessing to get a second chance in life. My transplant was due to Cryptogenic Liver Cirrhosis. My life changed dramatically but I have no complaints because I am ALIVE. I have been on prograf and steroids since my transplant. I had a rejection in 2004 when my enzymes went up and a liver biopsy was done. Since the rejection I have been taking 2 mg in the am and 1 mg in the pm along with 8 mg medrol twice a week. Since May of this year, my liver enzymes elevated and my doses were increased to 2 mg in A.M and 2 mg in P.M. My Doctors. also increase the medrol to 12 mg per week. Thank God so far my enzymes level went down to normal and I hope they stay normal. I just did my labs on 7/5 hopefully the results are normal. I am hoping my Drs will be decreasing my meds again. SIDE EFFECTS High BP, forgetfulness, anxiety, H/A occasionally but the benefits to me is greater than the risk of side effects. Its been a life changing experience since my transplantation. No complaints at all because I am so very happy to be alive no need to complain but to be content with my situation and live one day at a time. Thank God for my daughter and the medications, and my Doctors too. God bless everyone and thankful to all for the continued prayers. (prayers, prayers, and more prayers) “Pray without ceasing” 1 Thessalonians 5:17) UPDATE: My ALT had gone up but as of today results are back to normal my meds were not decreased but increased; now I’m on steroids daily. It is well with my soul. To God be the Glory GREAT things He has done. My labs are back to normal. 7/28/11 Thank you Lord!!! I am above ground with my family .
